Our History

It is TdVib’s  mission to achieve worldwide leadership in high technology products and systems.

TdVib designs and manufactures technology-driven, high-value systems based on electromagnetics; including magnetostrictive smart materials Terfenol-D and Galfenol.

TdVib LLC purchased all of Etrema Products assets in November of 2016. ETREMA Products, Inc. was established in 1987 to primarily commercialize Terfenol-D, transferring the technology from laboratory discovery to industry. During this time period, the technology for producing Terfenol-D was fully transferred from the DOE’s Ames Laboratory to ETREMA Products, Inc. and now TdVib LLC, granting ETREMA the ability to start small-scale production of the material.
